Tejano Music Awards National Radio Show returns with a new host this fall – Tejano Nation

The National radio show Tejano Music Awards is back with a new host after the show was placed on a lengthy hiatus. The Texas Talented Musicians Association (TTMA), producers of the annual Tejano Music Prize, TMA TVand radio show, announced Bino Gaona (Bino G) will take over hosting duties for the nationally broadcast radio show this fall.

Bino G commented, “This being the national radio show for the Tejano Music Awards, it’s going to have to top any other show out there. We’re going to have to format it for all age groups. We will have to attract not only the older generation, but also the new generation. We have a lot of good things in mind for this show.

He added that there were only a handful of hosts for the show. “It’s an honor and a privilege to have been mentioned to host this show, so I’m looking forward to it,” he said.

The hour-long program, which features “the most popular hits from winners of today, yesterday and tomorrow”, was discontinued in 2019 when the host Bobby Lopez was unable to host the show after health problems. The 2017 Texas Radio Hall of Fame longtime inductee and voice of the Tejano Music Awards died earlier this year.

The program will include music, interviews and new trends from Tejano Nation. Radio stations and premiere date for the National radio show Tejano Music Awards will be announced soon along with other major Tejano industry media partners.

Bino G concluded, “I think we have to come together and make this show, not mine, but we have to come together and make it everyone’s show.”
