Old Time Radio Show brings Abbott and Costello to Creative 360


The radio show Old Time will feature comedy duo Abbott and Costello when it next performs April 1-2 at Creative 360.

Creative 360 ​​is celebrating April Fool’s Day weekend with the Old Time radio show’s presentation of comedy duo Abbott and Costello. The band uses live sound effects and original commercial jingles to recreate the feeling of the original 1940s production. This family production will be directed by Carol Rumba and features: John McPeak, JoAnn Pobocik, David Ritter, Terri Schroeder and John Tanner.

The radio show group has been performing at Creative 360 ​​for several years and has become an audience favorite. Actors wear original 1940s costumes, play multiple roles, and recreate the full experience of these classic shows. Past performances have included The Shadow, Inner Sanctum and Gunsmoke.

“This show is shaping up to be one of our funniest,” said show director Carol Rumba. “We’ve added more music to this production and we think audiences are going to love it. It’s going to be a goofy night filled with laughs!

The April Fool’s Day weekend shows will feature some of the funniest skits performed by Bud Abbott and Lou Costello, America’s most popular wartime comedy duo. their sketch, Who is first? is perhaps the most recognizable comedy routine in all of radio history and will feature in the lineup of Creative 360 ​​broadcasts.

Performances are from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2. Admission is $12 in advance or $17 at the door. Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks and beverages. Tickets can be purchased at becreative360.org or by calling the arts center at 989-837-1885.
