Indiana is currently riding in the middle of a two-game winning streak and has won four of its last six games. On Monday night, head coach Mike Woodson joined host Don Fischer to discuss his Hoosier team on his weekly radio show, Inside the Basketball UI.

To start the show, Woodson recapped “some really good basketball” as Indiana took care of Penn State at home and Maryland on the road for a two-game winning week. Fischer then dives into several key stats about the Hoosiers’ top-ranked defense in the Big Ten, which Woodson calls “the essentials” of this season’s team. Some miscellaneous items are also included in the ratings for this week’s show, including IU’s improved turnover margin, Race Thompson’s increasing reliability shooting 3-pointers, Xavier’s continued progress Johnson and the growth of the IU team as a whole. Rounding out the segment from Woodson’s show, he details IU’s seven-day hiatus before hosting Illinois No. 18 on Saturday afternoon at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

In the final segment, Woodson’s former tutor and current assistant Anitra House joins Fischer in providing insight into Woodson as an IU player and head coach. House begins by discussing her upbringing and how she got into tutoring, then details how she met Woodson and what it was like working with him as a teenager. House then provides insight into her current role as Woodson’s assistant, her day-to-day responsibilities, and why she decided to come out of retirement for Woodson.
