Marquette Athletics, Dave & Buster’s NIL Intro Activation with Radio Show

Marquette University Athletics and its media rights holder, LEARFIELD’s Marquette Sports Properties, announced a renewed relationship with Dave & Buster’s that also includes name, likeness and likeness (NIL) activation with the men’s basketball program of the Golden Eagles.

Anchoring the new sponsorship will be “Marquette Thursdays at Dave & Buster’s” – 10 events starting December 1 at Dave & Buster’s location at 2201 N. Mayfair Road in Wauwatosa. Fans will have the opportunity to meet the Golden Eagles student-athletes and head coach Smart Shaka from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the first series of NIL events for men’s basketball.

“We are thrilled to extend our global sponsorship with Marquette Athletics and serve as the host site for 10 ‘Marquette Thursdays at Dave & Buster’s’ during the college basketball season,” said Linda Halopka-Ivery, general manager of Dave & Buster’s in Wauwatosa. “I can’t think of a better way to kick off a new season in support of the Golden Eagles, and we’re proud to continue to align our D&B brand with Marquette.”

Fans who cannot attend the events in person at the North Mayfair Road site can easily watch via Facebook Live. Marquette alumnus Jen Lada – famed ESPN reporter and Sports Emmy Award winner – will host all 10 “Marquette Thursdays at Dave & Buster’s.” Fans can also tune in to the show on 94.5 ESPN Milwaukee, as well as through The Varsity Network app, which streams all gameday and other Marquette Athletics programming for free.

The 10 “Marquette Thursdays at Dave & Buster’s” events will take place from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the following dates throughout the season:

  • December (1, 15, 22)
  • January (5, 12, 26)
  • February (2, 16, 23)
  • March 2
