‘Business Matters’ Radio Show to Host West Maui Leaders | News, Sports, Jobs

Angus McKelvey of the Hawaii House of Representatives and West Maui Taxpayers Association President Joe Pluta will discuss issues facing area residents in a live debate.

Maui Chamber of Commerce President Pamela Turnpap will interview guest speakers on the “Business Matters” radio show, airing Tuesdays at 7:05 a.m. on KAOI 1110AM with a replay Friday at noon.

The show hosts community leaders from Maui to share insight into sustainable efforts encompassing the island’s economy, environment, social welfare and culture.

McKelvey will reveal his thoughts on the challenges facing West Maui businesses, affordable housing and rentals, and the potential for a West Maui hospital.

Pluta will also discuss affordable housing and rentals, his thoughts on a West Maui hospital, and his concerns about infrastructure and rising sea levels in West Maui.

Each week, the radio show features a small business segment offering audiences the opportunity to experience the passions of a local manufacturer.

This week, Erica Erickson, owner of Maui Honey Bee Sanctuary DBA Da Beehive, tells her company story and lets the community know about new products and special offers, how to find them, and where to learn more.
